My biggest kid is 8. That seems like such a HUGE number to me. I’m not sure why but it’s bittersweet as is everything these days when I see my ‘weeds’ grow. I wish I could freeze time. But thank goodness I am a photographer and have SO many pix to reflect back on. Jackson is doing a skateboard camp for the 2nd summer in a row and it’s so fun to see all the ‘tricks’ he can do now.
For kicks, I’m going to post a pix of him at his 2nd birthday. This was shot with a Nikon coolpix — virutally first generation — tiny digital camera…before my foray into the SLR digital market. I was still shooting film in 02.
In this photo, I was carrying the cake in one hand and the camera in the other, and I somehow was able to trigger the shutter without looking thru the lens. He wanted to blow the candles out before MAMA was ready. How dare he!
