Want to see what photographers do for fun?

I am the proud new owner of 5 new friends — or 7 actually counting the bride & groom in the following photos!

Armin de Fiesta
Jaime Windon
Kimberly Brooke (and her sister)
and
Shelby Leigh

On Saturday night, my friend-photographer extraordinaire Armin de Fiesta organized a photographers night out in Georgetown – it was my first time meeting all of them except for Jaime who I had met at a seminar over the winter. So our intent going was not eating or drinking, rather shooting — and for fun! As IF we all don’t shoot a lot already but this was ‘practice’ with some of the best! Armin somehow convinced his friends, Dave and Andrea, who married 3 years ago, to don their wedding attire for our cameras – again! God Bless them! And it was hot and humid! I have to credit Kim for showing us some fun and funky off-camera lighting techniques! always something to learn from others.

Can’t wait for the next session!

Here we are waiting for Dave and Andrea to arrive….

This wee butterfly, or moth as I was told, was in love with kim.

Jaime CHIMPING!

July 14, 2008 - 10:16 am Kim - Julia - SOOO great to meet you and hang. I had a great time - we have to do it again soon. I am jsut glad it was a butterfly/moth and not more mosquitos!!! Jaime - you do look like you are floating.

July 14, 2008 - 3:54 pm Erin - Aw! Looks like you guys had fun! Sorry I missed it!

July 14, 2008 - 6:08 pm Denise DeFiesta - I love the second one from the bottom. In the shadows, it looks like Andrea is kissing a ghost. Very romantic!
